Baytread Garage

Neighbourhood garage identity, print and digital

Good work, clearly explained.

Baytread Garage concept board showing its B logo, sample service documents, social designs, garage fascia and folder with key tag.
The approved self-initiated Baytread system across flat identity work, practical documents and two photographic applications.

Baytread is a self-initiated identity for a fictional Melbourne neighbourhood garage. The brief called for straightforward service communication without familiar tyre tracks, crossed tools or performance-car graphics. It does not represent an operating workshop.

A heavy outlined wordmark and a square B with one copper notch make the identity recognisable on a card, key tag or sign. The notch suggests the threshold of a garage bay without depicting a car part. Flat primary, stacked, reversed and true single-ink masters keep the identity usable at different sizes and on different materials.

Deep Pine and Oat evoke painted signage and practical paper. Copper marks a small point of orientation, while the darker Copper Ink is used where small text needs stronger contrast. Archivo Black carries the wordmark; Source Sans 3 keeps service information plain to read.

The system extends to Australian business cards, A4 correspondence, a live-text email signature, an illustrative service estimate, a before-visit information sheet and three social formats. The garage fascia, service folder and key tag began as blank photographs; the approved vector artwork was placed on measured surfaces afterwards.
